Versus Perfume: an Overview

This brand new Versace perfume represents a long-awaited revamp of the Versus products line, a Versace brand that was launched in 1989 targeting a young public. It had slowly disappeared over the years, until 2009 when a new collection of accessories was launched, with the new logo of the labyrinth, which can also be found on the perfume box. There are actually more Versace perfumes that were called Versus: in past collection there are s V/S Versus and Versus Donna (from 1991 and 2002 respectively).
In the designer’s website, the official notes are lemon, kumquat (a fuit that grows in south-Asia), star apple, lemon blossom, stephanotis (a type of jasmine), Rosa Centifolia (also known as province rose, or cabbage rose), patchouli, ambrette seeds and musk.

The Notes amd when to use this perfume Versense by Versace

The opening notes are fruity and citrus, with traces of soft orange and watery lemon. There is also a line of sweeter fruits, a velvety sweetness, like of rose petals.
In the middle phase the orange aroma still lingers in the air almost without any changes, but there is a dry note of mandarins, similar to the one in Allure Homme Sport by Chanel. After about one hour, one of the fruity notes starts taking an aroma of redcurrant, but this is turns out to be only a passage to a note of sweet, velvety note, with a light trace of spicy water. At a more advanced stage of the middle phase, the citrus notes are fresher, closer to grapefruit, and the line of florals is now a clear jasmine. At the end of the middle phase, roses are the dominant note, with their natural spiciness, and they will remain throughout the base notes. On a second level though, there will be movement in the background, with notes of musk and spicy herbs and patchouli.

When To Use It
Although this Versense perfume breaks with the trend of other Gianni Versace perfumes with a minimalist Mediterranean structure, like Versace pour homme, it remains a quite simple perfume, where each aroma appears in stages, without any complex or extremely deep mixes. In general this is fragrance is suitable for a daily use in spring and summer days, with a potential for open spaces thanks to the lines of green florals and soft citrus notes. In an office environment, this Versus for women gives a feminine image, which is classic, clean and relaxed, more personal than social. This characteristic, in the other hand won’t be of much help for an evening or romantic use, where this fragrance has potentially seductive notes, which are not developed. The ideal range to wear this perfume will start from 20 years, and can go up to 60.
