A few facts about liposuction for legs
Leg liposuction is very common solution to a very common problem for many young women: fat accumulation on thighs and buttocks.
By carrying out a liposuction on legs, localized fat accumulation can be removed the body shape and profile dramatically improved.
Duration of the operation. It depends on the technique used by the surgeon, the quantity of fat to be removed, and the zone
Before the operation the surgeon will have the patient stand, and will accurately mark the area to be treated.
The choice between local and total anesthesia will depend on the quantity of fat to remove and the number of areas that will have to be treated.
Once on the surgery table, the area to be treated will be first disinfected and then injected with anesthetics, vasoconstrictors, and liquids that will soften the fat tissues.
After a few minutes, the surgeon will do one or more incisions on the internal and/or external part of the thigh. Through these incisions, the pipe is inserted and the fat is removed. When this phase is completed, a very small stitch and a compressing bandage will be applied.
After legs liposuction, the treated zone will be swollen and bruised, but it will back to normal after about two weeks. It’s generally recommended to rest after the operation, but a moderate workout may help blood circulation and the recovery. All normal daily activities can be resumed one week after the operation.
The compressive bandage will have to be worn for at least one month.
And after liposuction of legs... buttocks lifting
Buttocks are probably the biggest problem for women, as this is the area where diets and work-out programs prove to be ineffective. Fat accumulation in this area is very hard to get rid of, especially when the subject has a gynoid, or pear-shaped body shape. In this case, fat tends to accumulate on buttocks, thighs and hips.
Although in most cases the excess of fat is associated with cellulite and an uneven skin, the main problem for the plastic surgeon is the lack of elasticity of the skin. An elastic skin is a general prerequisite for all liposuction operations, the reason is very simple: fat accumulation creates volume, which stretches the skin. When fat is very quickly removed, the skin should shrink immediately, adapting to the new smaller volume. When this doesn’t happen, the elimination of a beauty flaw will have only created a new one.
The solution in this case is a body lifting (also called torsoplasty) in the buttock area. This type of plastic surgery will have long lasting results and will give shape and tonicity to the area, by removing the skin and the fat in excess. The operation is carried out with an epidural anesthesia without hospitalization.
